CGI Motorsports ( http://www.cgimotorsports.com ) holds multiple driver events at Gingerman Raceway ( http://www.gingermanraceway.com ). These DEs are a bit unusual since they have seven 20-minute sessions, giving over two hours of track time. The cost is $225 per driver.
The travel time from our area to Gingerman is about four hours one way whether we drive or take the ferry, and since taking the ferry adds $109 (one way) or $203 (round trip) it's not recommended. The return ferry trip is also quite late.
Our standard plan is to drive down on Sunday and stay overnight at a hotel. There is a CGI rate at the Ramada Inn of $65 for the evening ( http://www.ramada.com/Ramada/control/Booking/property_info?propertyId=15473&brandInfo=RA&cid=id! ). Then after the DE on Monday we just drive back, arriving back somewhere about 9pm.
